Interest Group Synopsis:  We will discuss also Peter's mention of it in 1 Peter 3:20,21, and how the days and times marked in the flood narrative connect with salvation in Christ, for the Church now, and for the world in the Kingdom. 

 

Colin Larose - “Genesis 1 controversies -- and solutions ” 

Interest Group Synopsis: Genesis 1 is a major focus of skeptics who attack the faith of grade school students, pointing out how ridiculous it is to believe in a book that says the universe is some 6000-years old.

Don't worry, this is about simplifying and understanding the major covenants and how they apply to our own personal lives and eventually to everyone else in the world.  No legal training required.

Valerie Weeks - “May Your Joy Be Complete"

Interest Group Synopsis:  Anxiety, depression, weariness, and disappointment seem to be the classic descriptors of life these days. And many days, we can lack a sense of joy.  Jesus said that life doesn't have to be this way. On the night before his crucifixion, He told his disciples: "I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!" John 15:11. 

During our time together, we will look at the things that lead to an overflowing joy in Jesus.
